You're thinking of booking Walter The Giant Storyteller at your library? Wonderful! Here's how it works... Successful presentations for your library will be tailored to your program wishes. From story hours to librarian/staff workshops and new book presentations to sessions for parents, we will work with your time schedules, special events, themes, and special needs. Each session scheduled will be addressed individually, with the underlying, always basic concern for creating and bolstering enthusiasm for the life-time necessity and joy of reading. Bibliographies will be provided as needed and requested. Promotional materials will be provided as requested. We ask that, when possible, booking requests be made at least three months in advance. If we are unable to accommodate your chosen dates, we will contact you as soon as we know Walter will be in your area again. Once we verbally confirm Walter's appearance at your library, suggested guidelines and a (very short!) requirement list will be forwarded to you, with our confirmation documents. Library fees are $150 per hour, with a one-hour minimum. There is a $10 fee for travel expenses within the greater Bay Area. Expenses in all other areas of the country are negotiable, depending upon Walter's general travel schedule and the framework of your event. We welcome your questions and requests, and thank you for your interest.
